Las Vegas, NV - Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TEN) will support the growth of its trade partners' brakes businesses with an aggressive 2008 Monroe brakes consumer rewards schedule and a variety of trade promotions. Introduced in late 2005, Monroe brakes are a popular choice of automotive repair shop owners and technicians across the United States.
Tenneco will offer a range of consumer promotions covering qualifying Monroe brakes purchases next year. This busy promotional calendar kicks off with the Monroe "Spring Brake Rebate" promotion from February 1 through May 31, 2008. The new offer will enable consumers to qualify for a mail-in rebate of up to $30 with the purchase of Monroe brake pads.
"Monroe has been a leading innovator in consumer and trade promotions for many years, and we're extending this winning formula to help shops and their parts providers capture new sales in the brake repair category," said Sheryl Bomia, promotions manager, North American Aftermarket, Tenneco.
In addition to the "Spring Brake Rebate" and other consumer promotions, Monroe will support distributor/jobber and installer sales with an array of attractive rewards available January through June 2008. One such promotion, the Monroe brakes "Brake the Bank" installer offer, will provide customized Monroe brakes gift cards, plus 2,000 Tenneco Expert Plus program points, to shop professionals for qualifying Monroe brake pad purchases. The brand's "Brake Cash" WD/jobber scorecard promotion will provide counter and outside salespeople with their own custom gift cards when they reach specified Monroe brakes purchase targets.
The Monroe brake product line includes Monroe Dynamics semi-metallic and Monroe Ceramics ceramic-formula brake pads, as well as a comprehensive offering of brake shoes. Monroe pads and shoes feature original equipment-style friction formulations and designs to help ensure exceptional stopping performance, quiet operation and long life. In addition, Monroe friction products are packaged "complete" with all required noise-elimination clips, hardware, moly-based lubricant, and OE-style wire wear sensors (most applications) to help technicians perform fast, efficient brake repairs.
